Navigation Menu in WordPress
In a Scenario of "Navigation Menu in WordPress". Since Website and blog is not completely fulfilled without navigation menu. It provides the visitor to an easy way to go to fix page and link. you can create a navigation menu where ever you want to be placed from widgets tabs, Here I have explained some of the easy ways for it.
Further, More navigation menu is designed from page, categories and custom links which is described below with examples and images How to create a navigation menu in WordPress in an easy way.
Just follow the below some step
There are three ways of creating a menu:-
From pages – It enables you to create custom Menu like HOME
From categories – It enables you to put your post under specific menu like news, affiliate
From the custom link – it enables you to put a direct link for your menu if clicked redirect to another page.
First Step- Menu from Pages,
- Just Login to your WordPress dashboard panel
- First Create some pages from pages’ menu on your dashboard that you want to be in your menu – like HOME, AFFILIATE, NEWS
- Click on appearance then go to the menu
- Then click on create a menu
- Give the name for the menu
- Add pages that you have created on pages and add it to the menu
You can drag and drop pages’ item on your menu for where you want it to be positioned. For submenu and menu as per your need.
Second Step -Menus from categories,
If you want your post to appear under the specific menu, then you should create a category as the menu. Suppose you wrote one article and you wish it to appear under news menu then you should create news menu under categories,
Just follow below step to create categories under the menu
- Click on Post and select categories
- Click on Add New Categories and click at button add New Categories
- After you created all categories for the menu, as usual, you can go to create a menu or select your menu and chose an item to be on the menu and click on add
Thirty Step – Menu from Custom Link
- Click on Appearance and menu as usual
- Select Custom Custom links
- Give the link you want to open direct click to your menu
- Give the name for Manu
- Click on add to the menu
